Nekoki is committed to protecting your data. This page explains what data we collect, why, how long we keep it, and what your rights are.

1. Data Controller

Given the nature and volume of our processing, the designation of a Data Protection Officer is not mandatory. Your requests are handled directly by management.

2. Data Collected and Purposes

We do not collect any banking data. Payments are processed directly by our payment provider, who is the sole recipient of this information.

We do not collect any health data or sensitive data as defined in Article 9 of the GDPR.

3. Recipients

Your data is accessible only to those who need it and is transmitted to the following service providers:

• Shopify — shop hosting and order management
• Payment provider — secure transaction processing
• Carrier (Colissimo / La Poste) — parcel delivery, recipient of your delivery details
• Email sending provider, if applicable, for the newsletter
• Audience measurement tools, if applicable and subject to your consent

We do not sell or rent your data to third parties.

4. Transfers Outside the European Union

Some of our service providers may process data outside the European Union. These transfers are governed by the safeguards provided by the GDPR: adequacy decision of the European Commission, or standard contractual clauses.

5. Retention Periods

• Customer account and order data: duration of the commercial relationship, then 3 years from the last contact for prospecting purposes
• Accounting records and invoices: 10 years, in accordance with the Commercial Code
• Newsletter subscription: until you withdraw your consent, then a maximum of 3 years
• Cookies: maximum 13 months; consent is requested again after this period
• Messages to customer service: 3 years from the last exchange

6. Your Rights

In accordance with the GDPR and the French Data Protection Act, you have the following rights: access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, objection, data portability, and withdrawal of your consent at any time when processing is based on it.

You can also define directives regarding the fate of your data after your death.

To exercise these rights, write to contact@nekoki.fr specifying your request. Proof of identity may be requested in case of reasonable doubt. We will respond within one month.

If, after contacting us, you believe that your rights are not being respected, you can lodge a complaint with the CNIL — 3 place de Fontenoy, TSA 80715, 75334 Paris Cedex 07 — cnil.fr.

7. Cookies

A cookie is a file placed on your device when you visit a website.

We use:
